1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2-1 cup chopped almonds
Have an ungreased cookie sheet ready.
Combine butter and sugar, cook over medium heat for 20 minutes, until it is the color of caramel. Spread butter and sugar mixture quickly onto the cookie sheets (it hardens immediately). Sprinkle chocolate chips over candy. Spread with spatula when melted. Sprinkle with ground almond. Refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour - overnight. Break up by hand

Stuffed Red Peppers
Ingredients
1lb ground turkey
2 cloves of chopped garlic
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 Tbl olive oil
1 cup cooked brown rice
2 cups spaghetti sauce
4 red peppers
1 cup mozzarella cheese
2 Tbl parmesan chees
salt
pepper
Preheat over to 450 degrees
Core red peppers and slice them in half lengthwise. Set aside. Sautee chopped onion and garlic in olive oil. Add turkey and cook until brown. Add chopped parsley, brown rice, 1 cup of spaghetti sauce and stir. Stuff turkey mixture into red peppers. Cover with 1 cup of spaghetti sauce, parmesan cheese and shredded mozzarella. Bake at 450 for 30 minutes.

Apple Crisp
3/4 cup oats
3/4 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup butter
4 baking apples peeled, cored and thinly sliced
Vanilla ice cream for topping
Preheat over to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine oats, flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and nuts. With a pastry blender or a fork, cut in butter until mixture forms crumbs the size of small peas. Set aside.
Arrange apples in a buttered 2 qt baking dish. Press the crumb mixture over the apples
Bake for 40 minutes or until top is golden and apples are tender. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
